80six are looking for a hands on Project Manager with experience in the AV industry.

Reporting into the Operations Director, our Project Managers lean into a combination of attention to detail, high level project management and technical expertise to oversee projects of all sizes, ensuring that the quality of delivery that 80six are renowned for is demonstrated in every project we run.

Who are you?
• First and foremost you are a team player. You understand that good communication, collaboration and a supportive attitude are the corner stones of a good PM.
• You’re an experienced Project Manager from the AV industry. You have up to date technical knowledge of varied equipment including modular LED, Media Servers, Playback devices, Cameras & PPU, Projectors, Video Switching, PDUs, Rigging.
• You’re cool, calm and collected. You’re the person people come to when they have a problem and know that you’ll use your solutions focussed thinking to help solve it.
• You have experience in the live events industry.
• You are comfortable with 3D design software such as Vectorworks and AutoCAD, and flowchart software such as Lucidchart.
• You understand and respect the importance of health and safety. You’ll be generating RAMS and guiding crew and sub contractors to ensure that we deliver safely.
• It would be great if you have training in BS 7909:2011, Code of practice for temporary electrical systems for entertainment and related purposes.
• You naturally lead multiple stakeholders at all levels, ensuring communication is smooth, consistent and well formed.

What does a typical week look like?
• Working independently alongside the sales team to deliver projects from beginning to end.
• Managing and monitoring all project deliverables through the project lifecycle including updating quotes, booking resources internally and externally (labour, transport, 3rd party assets and hardware).
• Logging and managing quotes in the company rental software (Current RMS) and ensuring a single point of truth with up-to-date data.
• On site management of projects, subcontractors and sub hired equipment.
• Supporting the client services team by attending client meetings, either at their offices, the venue site, or at a stakeholder’s office. Managing clients on smaller projects without the support of a member of the client services team.
• Creating RAMS for events. Looking to improve methods to deliver all aspects of a project to ensure the safety of our staff, whether full time or temporary, and the other stakeholders of the projects.
• Creating technical schematics of the video system and workflow diagrams in the appropriate design software (Lucidchart).
• Outlining work procedures, and event plans for each project.
• Generating and managing the project’s budget to ensure changes are captured and recorded and the project comes in at the expected margins.
• Working collaboratively with all elements of the project team to ensure that commercial thinking is applied at all stages, profit margins are reviewed regularly and balanced against the requirement for the high standards of kit and service delivery that 80six is known for.
• Being a voice within the live events industry and seeking opportunity in professional networks to expand the external voice and reputation of 80six.
• Supporting colleagues in the sales team and warehouse as necessary.
• Sourcing and managing external suppliers for supplementary show equipment or services when necessary.
• Keeping an eye on the pipeline and taking a proactive approach to forecast future demands on equipment/finances and advise/action accordingly.
• A keen interest in the industry and innovation in technical kit, actively seeking information and sharing internally with the team.
• Any ad-hoc duties deemed necessary and reasonable.
